annual appeal

I am convinced that most times we can only recognize “miracles” by looking back over our shoulders. It is when we look back at what we have come through that we can clearly see the loving hand of God.

The restoration of the Shrine began in December 2024, made possible through the generosity of our donors, the devotion of our community, and the vision of so many who believed that this sacred space could once again reveal its deeper spiritual identity.

Through this restoration, we sought not to erase history, but to recover the original voice of the structure—its simplicity and its strength. This has not simply been a renovation; it has been a renewal of purpose.
As we reflect on how far we have come, we are filled with gratitude for the many blessings—and yes, the miracles—that have made this journey possible.

This is why our Annual Appeal is so important.
The Annual Appeal is a vital part of keeping our incredible Shrine and its ministries alive and well for another year. As you probably know, we receive no operational financial assistance from the Archdiocese. We depend upon the generosity of people like you to preserve this sacred place and continue the ministries that welcome, inspire, and serve so many.

We are deeply grateful for your unwavering support through the years and for the role you have played in our shared journey. Your generosity has helped sustain the Shrine and has made it possible for countless pilgrims and visitors to pass through Mary’s doors and encounter a place of prayer, peace, and hope.

As we look toward the future, let us pledge ourselves to keep the Shrine open and strong, ready to embrace all pilgrims of faith who come seeking God’s presence.

It is our hope that the Shrine will continue to be a place where people are drawn to the mystery of God; where the call of God can be heard; and where we learn, together, to walk with one another all the way to God.

Please consider making a generous gift to our Annual Appeal 2026. Every gift, no matter the size, helps ensure that the Shrine and its ministries will remain strong for generations to come.

Thank you for your consideration and for being a cherished part of our Shrine Family. With heartfelt gratitude and blessings,

Rev. Richard N. Fragomeni, PhD Rector

PS For a gift of $500 or more, you will receive a memorial paver in our Garden of Remembrance.
