We Celebrated the Feast of St. Mary Magdalene

In honor of the Feast of St. Mary Magdalene we celebrated this often misunderstood saint. Together, we’ll explore her story as “Apostle to the Apostles” and reflect on how her remarkable faith invites us all to walk more deeply with God.

At the Shrine of “Duc in Altum” in Magdala, a beautiful tribute honors the women who walked with Jesus. The name, meaning “Launch into the Deep,” comes from Luke 5:4 — Jesus’ call to His disciples to trust and journey beyond the familiar.

Mary Magdalene’s journey still speaks to us today.

We are thrilled to share the highlights from our recent Sound Meditation Pilgrimage, the second part of the four-part Sanctum Project at The Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii. This unique event brought together participants for a journey of sound, meditation and community connection.

During the pilgrimage, attendees explored the transformative power of sound and vibration to elevate consciousness and promote inner peace; techniques to quiet the mind by turning into the ambient sounds around us, fostering a deeper connection with self; the importance of community and shared experiences in creating a unique vibrational space that enhances personal growth.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this enriching experience. We hope you left feeling inspired and rejuvenated, ready to incorporate these practices into your daily life. Remember, the “song of God” is always present, inviting us to listen and connect.

Post-Pilgrimage Reflection: A Journey of Peace and Connection

The inaugural walk of the Shrine’s labyrinth on the International Day of Peace was a truly special occasion, filled with moments of quiet reflection and shared connection. We extend our warmest gratitude to all who participated, creating an atmosphere of serenity and openness.

Susan Pudelek’s insightful guidance enriched the experience, leading us on a journey of inner exploration and culminating in a powerful recitation of St. Francis’ Prayer for Peace. The labyrinth, a symbol of our individual and collective paths, provided a tangible space for contemplation and transformation.

We are also deeply appreciative of Susan’s wealth of knowledge about labyrinths and the significance of the International Day of Peace. We encourage you to delve deeper into the resources she shared, fostering a continued exploration of peace and interconnectedness:

As we move forward, may the echoes of this pilgrimage resonate within us, reminding us of the power of stillness, reflection, and shared intention. The Shrine’s labyrinth stands as a beacon of peace, inviting us to return again and again, to reconnect with our inner selves and with the world around us. https://www.veriditas.org/Directory

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Shrine for future pilgrimages and labyrinth walks. Until then, may the spirit of peace guide your steps and fill your hearts.

In health,

Dr. Brian Fuller
